Clever Bathroom Storage Ideas for Tiny Spaces
Small bathrooms lose space to bottles, towels and clutter on the floor. Here is how to get them off the ground without drilling into tile.

The floor is not storage
In a small bathroom, anything left on the floor makes the room feel half its size. Bottles in the shower, towels behind the door, spare rolls in a bag — each one costs you visual space as well as physical space.
Four fixes that work in a rental
Over the toilet. The wall above the cistern is usually completely empty. A slim over-toilet shelf holds towels, spare rolls and toiletries and touches nothing but the floor.
On the shower wall. A no-drill caddy with adhesive brackets gives you two shelves for shampoo and soap without a single hole in the tile. Clean the wall, press, wait a day, then load it.
On the side of the cabinet. A magnetic organizer turns the side of a steel mirrored cabinet into a shelf for toothbrushes and clips — the everyday items that otherwise live on the vanity.
Inside the cabinet. The classic under-sink problem is stacking two deep, so nothing is reachable. A sliding tray fixes it in seconds and works just as well under a bathroom basin as under a kitchen sink.
Make the towel count
Three towels, one bath mat, one hand towel per person. More than that and you are storing laundry as well as drying it. Roll rather than fold if shelf height is tight — rolled towels fit into gaps folded ones cannot.
Keep the counter 80% clear
Leave one small tray for soap and a toothbrush and nothing else. A bathroom counter with one deliberate object on it reads as clean; the same counter with six small items reads as cluttered, even when every one of them is in use.
